Cinthia Platzgummer

I am from a small village in Provence in the south of France growing up I was always dreaming of travelling to exotic countries. My 1st trip was to Thailand at 18 years old and I completely fell in love with travelling I knew from that point that I needed to work in travel. I started my career as a leisure travel agent for a tour operator then I worked in Business Travel and for the last 10 years I was working as a VIP Business Travel Consultant. I joined CV Villas in 2020 and I feel like I have come full circle I am very excited to be back working in leisure travel I really enjoy how our clients get excited about booking their holidays and it is so lovely to share with them my passion for travel. I have now worked in the travel industry for almost 20 years and I enjoy it as much now as I did 20 years ago. I have travelled all over the world and as soon as I get back from a holiday I start planning the next one. I feel very lucky to talk about travel all day and to work with like-minded people.

What is your favourite destination?

It’s a tough one because there are a few destinations I would love to go back to… my top 4 are India, Peru, New Zealand, Mexico.

Which destination is top of your bucket list and why?

Again, a tricky one! My bucket list is very long but the next country I am planning to visit is Myanmar. I am also planning on travelling more to Europe because I love the history, architecture and the food.  We are so lucky to have so much beauty on our door step.

How do you spend your time whilst on holiday?

I don’t spend much time relaxing I always try to make the most of the time I spend abroad. If I’m by the sea I would do some snorkelling and spearfishing, in the mountains I would do some hiking or skiing. I love visiting temples so I tend to go to countries where there are temples and ruins from ancient civilisations. For me it’s any excuse to go for a walk in the nature so I am always looking for waterfalls, beauty spots and longer the walk to get there the better! With my partner we often come back from holiday physically exhausted but mentally recharged from all the adventures we have had.

What's your top travel tip?

Do what you like to do but also don’t be scared to go out of the beaten track now and then, it’s what holidays are for to get out of your routine and the ordinary. I truly believe that a villa is like a dress; it could be perfect for someone but might not suit another person. The villa must fit the personal taste and requirements so that it can become your home for the length of your holiday.
