Explain your role and how long you’ve been at CV

I am the Head of Sales for Morocco, Caribbean, Florida, France and Croatia, and I have been working at CV Villas for 7 years.

What are the current trends in the type of holiday people are looking for?

People are looking more and more to combine the privacy of a villa with activities to do nearby.

They like the idea of staying in “their house abroad for a week” with a private swimming pool and garden, but still have easy access to shops and restaurants, or have a private chef for some special meals.

What is your favourite destination?

My favourite destination is Morocco. There is so much to do and visit for active types, but equally has the most amazing villas for people looking to relax by the swimming pool and enjoy the wonderful views of the Atlas Mountains.

Our villas are very discreetly fully staffed. There is always someone ready to make you a cup of wonderful mint tea but never intrusive when not needed.

Which is your favourite villa that you’ve stayed in within our whole portfolio and why?

This is a very difficult question! We have villas for every taste and budget, ranging from the family villas to top-end luxury villas. Personally, I love villas with character, which maintain the feeling of the country I am visiting.

Having just returned from Morocco, I would definitely book a week long holiday for my family at Villa Alexandra near Marrakech. The high quality, the beautiful Moorish style, the views from the roof terrace, and the professionalism of the team make the holiday special. The chef will spoil you with her special dishes and homemade biscuits.

When and where did you go on your last familiarisation trip?

I went to Morocco for 6 days in February and the weather was between 25-27 degrees during the day. It was such a pleasure to wear summer clothes in winter!

What makes Morocco special? Why should people holiday there?

Morocco offers so much for all types of travellers. From the Atlas Mountains, the trekking, the dinners in Berber tents, to traditional pottery lessons. And of course, for the shopaholic Marrakech is irresistible.

Which villas did you see in Morocco?

We visited some of our established villas as well as the new villas in our portfolio. Ezzahra, Alkhozama and Azzaytouna are always breath-taking. We also visited, the villas in the Bab Adrar Estate (Dar Tamazerte, Dar Tourtite, Dar Al Laimouna, Dar Tigamino and Dar Yasmina), the views of the Atlas mountains from this little compound are superb.

We also visited the villas closer to Marrakech, Dar des Roses Blanches, Dar Giardino, Dar Toozween, Villa Mauresque, Cobalt Blue and Villa Alexandra. Gary and I went also, to visit some new villas near Essaouira, we think it is a beautiful area and it could give our customers the possibility to stay longer in Morocco and do a two centre holiday combining Marrakech and the Mountains with the sea of Essaouira.

What would be your top tip for someone considering a villa holiday?

I truly believe that a villa is like a dress; it could be perfect for someone but might not suit another person. The villa must fit the personal taste and requirements so that it can become your home for the length of your holiday.

The sales team at CV Villas have visited almost all the properties in our portfolio and can make suggestions based on the needs and requirements of the customer. I therefore, suggest calling us and together we can find the perfect villa.
