Villa Specialist

Elizabeth Clifton

I have been working at CV Villas since May 2017. My career in the travel industry began in the late 1980's (showing my age now), when I worked as an overseas representative and travelled to Portugal, Lanzarote and a few different Greek islands. I fell in love with Greece and decided to stay permanently in Corfu, which is where I changed my career direction to real estate. After arriving back in the UK many years later, and now being fluent in the Greek language, I wanted to continue my connection with Greece, so when the opportunity came up to work at CV Villas it was the perfect opening for me. I love to travel and I love exploring new destinations - I guess I am quite fickle as I tend to fall in love with every destination I go to.

What is your favourite destination?

I guess it would have to be Greece. I lived there for so many years and just love the people, culture and food! For me, there's nothing better than sitting in a Greek taverna watching the sun set over the sea whilst eating a Moussaka and drinking local wine.

Which destination is top of your bucket list and why?

I love cities that are steeped in history and architecture. I would love to visit China and the Forbidden City, as I have read so much about it and it constantly intrigues me. One day, I'll get there!

How do you spend your time whilst on holiday?

I normally like to plan ahead - I'm one of those people who researches the area first, so that I have some sort of itinerary to follow. I definitely don't want to miss anything out. The first couple of days will usually involve some relaxing, and then I like to get out and about to explore.

What's your top travel tip?

Hire a car and get out and about. There's more to see than the resort that you're staying in, so speak with your villa specialist or rep and they can tell you all about the hidden gems of each destination.
