I was born in Warwickshire, England but moved to Corfu when I met my Greek husband. I was orginally a PE teacher having worked in secondary schools in the UK and in Corfu. I became involved in tourism gradually, working at Corfu Airport and later for a car rental agency. In 2012, I started working for CV as a concierge in one of the Private Collection villas. I have been an adminsitrator in our resort office and now I am a full-time villa representative in Kassiopi, Corfu.

Describe the perfect day in your destination?

The perfect day would be waking up to the sound of sea lapping on the beach outside of my villa. The breakfast chef would have laid out breakfast on the terrace overlooking the bay. I would spend a lazy morning around the pool and then head down the east coast of Corfu on a small self-driven boat, stopping at deserted beaches and coves along the way. I would lunch at one of the lovely tavernas, serving fresh fish and sea food, on the sea-shore. After going back to the villa I would arrange a massage from one of the excellent local beauty therapists. Dinner would be made by a CV villa chef booked especially, serving wonderful local cuisine.

What are your top travel tips for your destination?

Spring-time months of May and June in Corfu are lovely. The island is lush and green and full of flowers and the temperature is warm and pleasant. There are very few insects at this time of year.

What local cuisine would you recommend to people staying in your destination?

The best Corfiot dishes are Stefado, beef cooked with baby onions. Pastisada, chunks of beef in a rich red sauce. Sofrito, beef cooked in white wine, garlic and parsley. Stuffed peppers and tomatoes. Sea Bass and Seafood Risotto.

What experiences would you recommend to our customers in your destination?

I recommend hiring a small boat and exploring the east coast. A visit to Old Perithia, an old abandoned village on the north coast with five tavernas seving authentic Corfiot food and of course a trip to beautiful Corfu Town with it's medieval buildings and passageways.
