My experience over the last two decades has been centered around marketing and hospitality, where I have been lucky enough to work with teams who enjoyed creating the dream for the end consumer. My time with the Intimate Hotels of Barbados and the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc provided me with the unique opportunity to work closely with the key tourism partners within Barbados' main source markets of the USA, UK, Canada and Caribbean to create that aspiration and desire as well as with our partners on island where we worked together to make that dream a reality! We (CV Villas) are here to make dreams come true and I look forward to working with the team as we help create the most memorable experiences for our guests when they visit the Caribbean.

Describe the perfect day in your destination?

Within the Caribbean, the perfect day begins with a sunrise by the ocean and taking that fresh sea breeze followed by an easy going fresh fruit breakfast. From there let's actually head onto the water and spend  the day cruising the coast on a catamaran where you can swim with the sea life and snorkel among some reefs and wrecks. After your cruise a short nap is order and then it's time for cocktail sundowners as we take in the rich colors of a Caribbean sunset followed by rum inspired dinner.

What are your top travel tips for your destination?

Within the Caribbean you must take in a rum experience..whether it's a distillery tour, a rum dinner or a cocktail demo session...rum is an integral part of the Caribbean experience!

What local cuisine would you recommend to people staying in your destination?

Within the Caribbean, each destination has a national dish and this a must to try whilst you are on island. In Barbados the national dish is Cou cou, served with flying fish. Somewhat similar to polenta or grits, Cou-cou is made with corn meal and okra. The signature meal you should have in Saint Lucia is green figs and salt fish where you enjoy boiled unripe bananas and salt-cured boiled or flaked cod. It's a hearty dish made with various herbs and spices. In Antigua, the national dish is Fungee (a dish similar to Italian Polenta like Cou Cou, made mostly with cornmeal) and Pepperpot (a flavourful and hearty stew of meat and vegetables containsing spinach, okra, eggplant, squash, peas, dumplings and meats such as salted pork, beef and chicken. While in Grenada, Oildown is the national dish. This savory one-pot meal is usually prepared once a week or during anniversary of Independence celebrations across the island. The most essential ingredients are coconut milk, turmeric, breadfruit, and callaloo and you can add any meat, seafood or just stick with vegetables.

What experiences would you recommend to our customers in your destination?

A best ways to take in and experience a destination is with a bike tour, a hiking tour, a catamaran lunch or sunset cruise and an island safari jeep tour.
