Our view

Grouped in lush and colourful gardens which meet a sweep of sandy beach, these are six lovely villas in the heart of Barbados’s popular platinum coast. They make a fine choice for a family holiday.

In brief

  • Beachfront
  • Cook service included
  • Great choice for families with use of shared pool

About the villa

Surrounded by over an acre of well-tended gardens, these six semi-detached and seafront villas cluster around a large swimming pool which forms a focal point and social space for the exclusive little enclave. A paved sun terrace encircles the free-form pool, and palms, plants and flowering shrubs provide shade and privacy in the grounds, which have direct access to the wonderful white sands of Gibbs Beach. Each of the villas is privately owned and individually styled, but all have a similar layout, with two bedrooms on the first floor and one at ground level, all with a balcony or patio. The split-level living area on the ground floor is open-plan, with the kitchen and diner on the higher level, and the sitting room opening out to a covered terrace and dining gazebo. Cook service is included in all the villas and, while each is independent, two (or more) can be booked together for family gatherings or large groups of friends. Emerald Beach is a ten minute drive from Speightstown and fifteen minutes from golf and tennis.

About the area

St Peter

Average weather

The northernmost parish of Barbados, St. Lucy is known as ‘The Lady’—and is the only one of the eleven parishes named after a female saint. St. Lucy has three distinct coastlines. On the west are its sandy beaches. To the north, cliffside paths lead down to hidden coves. On Barbados holidays in St. Lucy, visit coastal lookout points on the east coast such as Paul’s Point to enjoy panoramic views of the headland. St. Lucy’s inland villages—such as Hope and Spring Garden—are surrounded by sedate pastureland.
