Our view

If this house was any nearer to the sea, the waves would ripple round the dining table. A welcoming family villa in a wonderful setting by Mullins Beach, it is a ringside seat for spectacular sunsets.

In brief

  • Comfortable & practical family home
  • Walk to watersports
  • Walk to shop and spa

About the villa

A colourful and comfortable Caribbean beach house, Aquamarine is in no doubt about its main attraction. In a prime position like this one, location outranks luxury. A brilliant choice for a barefoot-casual family break, or for a couple of couples holidaying together, this lovely villa in Barbados is simply a cheerful place to be. All on one floor, just a few feet above sea level, the house has a master bedroom with en suite bathroom, and a twin and double sharing a shower room. The light and airy living/dining room opens on to a covered veranda, which is really the hub of activity here.
Furnished for al fresco dining, and for sea and star-gazing, it basks directly by the sands, its air of relaxation enhanced by cook service. Loungers line-up on an adjacent open sundeck, and the absence of a pool is barely noticed as swimming is so good from the beach. Water sports are available along the sands, the house is an easy walk from a local restaurant, and Speightstown’s shops and eateries are a five minute drive away.

About the area

St Peter

Average weather

The northernmost parish of Barbados, St. Lucy is known as ‘The Lady’—and is the only one of the eleven parishes named after a female saint. St. Lucy has three distinct coastlines. On the west are its sandy beaches. To the north, cliffside paths lead down to hidden coves. On Barbados holidays in St. Lucy, visit coastal lookout points on the east coast such as Paul’s Point to enjoy panoramic views of the headland. St. Lucy’s inland villages—such as Hope and Spring Garden—are surrounded by sedate pastureland.
