Eating and drinking
There are four restaurants to choose from at VidaMar Algarve Resort, Asian restaurant Aji, Italian restaurant Mamma Mia, the Ocean Buffet restaurant and Sunset Bar & Restaurant, perfect for poolside snacks and light lunches, if you don’t want to leave the pool. At the Wet swim up pool bar you don’t even have to leave the water to enjoy a refreshing cocktail. In the MAR Club area (bali beds area, restricted to adults) you may also enjoy a refreshing cocktail at the Tiki Bar terrace or while enjoying the ocean views from the 2 outdoor Jacuzzis. The Lobby Bar and the Gin Bar in the hotel lobby are ideal for a pre-dinner aperitif or post-dinner drink, while the Nespresso bar is the perfect place for that mid-morning caffeine hit.
The myriad stunning beaches of the Algarve are all within easy reach of the resort, while the nearby Lagoa dos Salgados nature reserve is a beautiful natural attraction well worth exploring. These important wetlands are a haven for birdlife, including the red-crested pochard, purple gallinule and the flamingo. If a change of scenery is needed, the resort provides a free shuttle bus to lively Albufeira with its shops, bars and restaurants, while both Vilamoura and Faro can be reached in less than 45 minutes. Children will love the Slide and Splash and Aqualand water parks, both within a 20 minute drive of the resort, while golf lovers will enjoy the 18 hole Salgados Golf Course just next door.
