About the villa

This quaint converted farmhouse, built in the second half of the 19th century, has been recently converted to offer a comfortable stay while maintaining the property’s traditional Tuscan character. Decorated throughout in an attractively simple country style, the house has a ground floor sitting room with a fireplace and picture windows looking out onto the gardens. Also on the ground floor is the large kitchen with dining area, which opens out onto the veranda. On the first floor there is a master bedroom, and a further two bedrooms, as well as a shower room and guest bathroom. The outdoor terrace and shaded areas are furnished for lounging and dining, and the spacious fenced flat garden make this a perfect property for families with children. They’ll certainly enjoy the large swimming pool, installed in a separate area of the garden, with panoramic views of the surrounding hills. With Palaia village only a kilometre away, and Lucca, Pisa and Florence well within driving distance, this villa is perfectly located for sightseeing trips.

Arrival at this villa is between 4 and 8 pm.
After 8 pm a fee of Euro 50 is payable and after 10 pm the fee is Euro 100.
Any late arrival after 8pm is on request and needs to be agreed in advance.
Please kindly note that after midnight – if an arrival is possible - the extra cost is Euro 100 per hour.

The road to Palaia is a country road and not illuminated at night.

Average weather

Although they are only 17km apart, Pisa and Lucca instantly feel like different worlds. The former is a lively student city on the River Arno, and has one of the world’s most recognizable monuments: the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Understated Lucca is compact and genteel, ideal for a Tuscany villa nearby, with handsome piazzas that frame churches in the Luccan-Romanesque style. Those on a Lunigiana holiday occupy the Apennine foothills in far north-western Tuscany. It is rolling, blissfully empty terrain whose few inhabitants have cultural links with neighbouring Liguria.
