About the villa

Set in a lovely rural location, but still within very easy driving distance to shops and restaurants in the picturesque towns of Capannori and Lucca, and close enough for a day trip to Pisa, Florence or the beach, Casa Capannori is the perfect choice for a family holiday. Ideal for young children, there is a fenced pool and expansive gardens. Inside, on the ground floor there is a large country-style family kitchen with dining table and a comfortable living room. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom and sauna room with steam bath.Sleeping quarters are located on the first floor, where there are four double bedrooms and two twin bedrooms decorated in a pretty vintage style. The two bathrooms and two shower rooms on the first floor are shared by the bedrooms. Outside, a pergola furnished for dining is set in a prettily planted patio, while the large private pool is sunk into a sunny terrace surrounded by lush gardens and sheltered by mature trees.

About the area

Lucca, Pisa & Lunigiana

Average weather

Although they are only 17km apart, Pisa and Lucca instantly feel like different worlds. The former is a lively student city on the River Arno, and has one of the world’s most recognizable monuments: the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Understated Lucca is compact and genteel, ideal for a Tuscany villa nearby, with handsome piazzas that frame churches in the Luccan-Romanesque style. Those on a Lunigiana holiday occupy the Apennine foothills in far north-western Tuscany. It is rolling, blissfully empty terrain whose few inhabitants have cultural links with neighbouring Liguria.
