About the villa
Chic and uncluttered, yet full of character, this charming house is peacefully placed amid expansive lawns. Studded with small palms and stretching to meet surrounding citrus and olive groves, the garden focuses on an inviting pool, its timber sundeck just a few steps away from the villa’s wrap-around terrace. Here, a furnished covered area with built in seating is stylishly furnished for dining, with views across the pool to the countryside and coast beyond. With air conditioning, WiFi and satellite TV, the house itself is styled throughout with understated elegance. Soft toned décor and whitewashed ceiling timbers frame airy rooms with beautiful louvre and grille doors, unique carved wood furniture, and highlights of colourful fabrics.
Each of the bedrooms has an en suite shower room and doors to the garden; and a country-style kitchen adjoins the living/dining room, flooded with light from dual aspect windows. In the north-western corner of the island, Villa Plumbago is just 5km from a sandy beach, 10km from the archaeological site of Selinunte, and 15km from Belice Natural Reserve.

Average weather
While still having a rich Italian heritage in food, history and culture, the west of Sicily has a noticeable African influence. Even with this, this area is still famous for an Italian tradition – winemaking – and is the home of the sweet desert wine, Marsala. The nightlife is something to experience, with family run restaurants popping up on the streets in the evening, showcasing a menu of freshly caught seafood, and other local dishes. But don’t forget about the days. Whatever interests you, there is something to see - from thermal baths and beaches to island trips and historical monuments.
