About the villa
Modern, airy and arty, Villa Barbati is a three storey villa, tiered into the hillside, with bay views from every room. With crisp white décor highlighting bright and bold artworks, the villa’s entry is at the middle level, where a sleek and well equipped kitchen is open plan to the dining area and chic sitting room, and opens out directly to the poolside terrace. One of the en suite bedrooms shares this upper ground level, while two on the floor below have doors to the garden; and the spacious master suite crowns the house, romantically styled in pale pastel shades, with a shower and free-standing egg-shaped bath, and a furnished balcony facing the fabulous views. All four are stylishly uncluttered, air-conditioned and equipped with TV, and WiFi is available throughout the house.
The villa’s outdoor facilities are equally inviting. A gorgeous infinity pool is set in a pebble-paved terrace, with sundowner seating at one end, and a generous shaded gazebo furnished for al fresco dining and relaxing. A 100m footpath leads down to the beach, and the villa is 1km from Barbati centre, and within easy reach of a beach with tavernas and water sport

Average weather
Gouvia was once a Venetian naval base and a way-station for the London–Karachi flying-boat service; it now has the island’s biggest marina. Close by, upmarket Kommeno, and the former fishing villages of Nissaki and Barbati for a holiday, represent the best of rural Corfu. Civilized yet unspoilt, the area is half way along Corfu’s most beautiful stretch of coast. Yet, since it flanks the main road, from here the whole of northern Corfu is open to exploration, by bus or—better still—by car.

boat HIRE
There is no better way to explore the coastline and discover deserted bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Small boats and speedboats can be pre-booked with our UK office and we recommend early reservations, especially in July and August, as availability is limited. UK boat licences will no longer be valid in Europe from January 2021 due to Brexit. Smaller size boats can still be hired without a licence which remains unchanged.
