Equally perfect for a romantic getaway for two or a stylish holiday house for couples or a family, this trullo villa is set in very private lawned gardens with a superb outside kitchen.
Set in an idyllic rural location yet within easy driving distance of several picturesque towns as well as the coast, Trulli Mia is perfect for a couple or small family. Small but perfectly formed, the property is beautifully decorated to seamlessly blend modern design, natural materials and a neutral colour palette with traditional features and architecture. There is a compact country-style kitchen and a sitting/dining room with a lounge area in a cosy nook in the main trulli. There are two double or twin bedrooms, one with a bathroom en suite and one with a shower room that can be en suite or shared, as well as an additional room that works as a proper third bedroom utilising an excellent sofa bed which can alternatively be used as a separate sitting room. Completing the house is a lovely enclosed veranda, with soft seating and a stunning stone fireplace, where floor to ceiling glass doors can be completely opened to blur the lines between the indoor and outdoor space. Outside, the grounds comprise lawned gardens and a wide, sunny terrace with private pool and a superb outdoor kitchen furnished for al fresco dining.

If a building can be a symbol for a whole region, then the trullo stands for Puglia—also known as ‘Apulia’ in English. Think of a Puglia villa holiday and those round, whitewashed limestone buildings with their comical, conical roofs always spring to mind. But there’s more to the region that is the narrow heel of Italy’s boot than trullo country around Alberobello. Discover baroque beauty in Lecce, Emperor Frederick II’s mysterious architecture at the Castel del Monte, and total relaxation on a Puglia villa stay in a rural Masseria.
