Cushioned in mature gardens, within walking distance to Cisternino, this well-equipped and very private villa in Puglia has four distinctive trullo cones, well-equipped outside kitchen, a solar heated pool, and is furnished in very attractive and comfortable country style.
Making the most of the Mediterranean climate, this lovely little trulli house is thoughtfully designed and very well equipped for indoor/outdoor living. A generously sized swimming pool is the focal point of the grounds, its poolside terrace punctuated with colourful flower beds and young palms, and backed by the clustered fruit trees of the villa’s private orchard. A canopied dining terrace, well-equipped outside kitchen with barbecue and wood-burning pizza oven make al fresco lunches a delight, and there is table tennis and a utility / shower room in the garden too. There are many different seating areas in sun and shade in the gardens. The layout of the house itself is ideal for two families. In the characterful trulli section, there are two bedrooms, a living room and kitchenette opening out to a patio; and interconnecting doors link the historic building with the more recent part, with a further double and twin bedroom and a light and well-equipped open-plan kitchen/living room. Enjoying very good privacy in its gated gardens, the villa is actually just 1.5km from shops and restaurants in the centre of Cisternino, reached on foot along the country lanes. An excellent restaurant Osteria Sant' Anna and a minor train station with connections to Lecce are closer. A 10km drive leads to a choice of sandy beaches and beach clubs, and Martina Franca, Ostuni and Alberobello are all within 20km.
This is a very comfortable property for adult groups and families alike and the owners ensure that your stay is as memorable as possible. Extensive enhancements for this season include three new bathrooms, refurbishment of the fourth bathroom, new outside furniture, new ceiling fan and wood burning stove for the kitchen/sitting room and other items.

If a building can be a symbol for a whole region, then the trullo stands for Puglia—also known as ‘Apulia’ in English. Think of a Puglia villa holiday and those round, whitewashed limestone buildings with their comical, conical roofs always spring to mind. But there’s more to the region that is the narrow heel of Italy’s boot than trullo country around Alberobello. Discover baroque beauty in Lecce, Emperor Frederick II’s mysterious architecture at the Castel del Monte, and total relaxation on a Puglia villa stay in a rural Masseria.
