Our view

Two simple stone buildings in one stunning setting on the rocks, this pair of holiday houses, put together, form a unique family property in Corfu. There really is nothing else like it.

In brief

  • Magnificent sea views
  • Waterside location
  • Direct access to the sea

About the villa

Poised just above the waterline at the south-eastern end of Apraos Bay, the Studio is so close to the sea it looks almost like a boathouse. A beautiful spot for two people, its sunbathing terrace juts into the water, and a few steps away is Kalamaki’s long beach. Here, the sand is a perfect playground for children, and a beach bar and taverna are strategically placed for leisurely lunches and long iced coolers. These can, of course, be accessed in a more conventional way, but the road route is less fun!
Perched on the rocks above the studio, Apraos House looks out to sea from twenty five steps up. A covered veranda is comfortably furnished as an al fresco sitting room, complemented by a sunny dining terrace, and within the house a style of island simplicity is carefully blended with contemporary facilities. With air conditioning in both buildings, the house has a well equipped kitchen and open-plan sitting room, while the studio has its own little kitchenette area.

"We had fantastic holiday. We adored Apraos House and Studio. So sad to have to leave!! Won't hesitate to return. Wonderful from start to finish."

"What an incredibly special place. We loved every second here, loved the locals on the beach, the sound of the waves, the cool breeze from Albania...we'll be back."

About the area

Kalamaki, Perithia & Agios Ioannis

Average weather

Corfu’s north coast, where the lower slopes of its highest mountain Pantokrator sink below the waves, is gentler than the north-east, and provides excellent bathing too. The stretch between Kalamaki and St. Spiridion faces the mountains of Albania stacked up across the straits; it is quiet and user-friendly, yet close enough to buzzing towns like Kassiopi and Roda for tastes of a party atmosphere. A holiday in Perithia, puts you in the island’s oldest village, sitting three kilometres behind and well above the coast, about half-way to Pantokator’s summit.
