About the villa
A magnificent tropical family villa set in soft lawns among palm trees, Karma Bay has one of the most spectacular waterfront locations in all of Jamaica and the Caribbean Sea. The delightful living room opens up to two covered verandas, leading to an al fresco dining area, a bar and lounge area, and the exclusive waterfront pool. The pool area has steps to the sand below and is equipped with a covered daybed and plenty of sun loungers from which to take in the endless sea views. Karma Bay is a blend of traditional and contemporary style with Caribbean features, thoughtfully decorated with Jamaican, Asian and European influences with splashes of vibrant colours, marble floors, and dark wooden furniture. The master double bedroom, as well as the other five bedrooms, has en suite shower room and king size bed, with the exception of one bedroom that can be made up as a twin; the seafront facing bedrooms all open out to a private terrace area. Set on the exclusive Tryall Club, guests will enjoy all the unique resort facilities; a temporary membership fee is required, payable locally. The luxurious villa is just twenty minutes by road from Montego Bay, with chef service and butler included.

The day starts while guests are still asleep. The cook quietly places pots of steaming Jamaican coffee on the veranda. Full breakfast is served when all guests are ready. A typical breakfast may include fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh fruits, banana fritters or plantain, eggs, bacon, pancakes or cereal ~ or Jamaican ackee and salt fish. For lunches and dinners, your cook will prepare their own mix of Jamaican specialties ~ including delicious homemade soups and desserts, lobster, curried goat, jerk pork or chicken, pasta, lamb, beef, fresh fish ~ or serve traditional American fare as you request. Warning: Jamaican cooks are excellent and portions are generous! Your cook will handle grocery shopping and meal preparation. Your chambermaid and laundress will care for every detail of your bedroom and bath ~ providing fresh linens and flowers, returning your neatly-folded laundry, and turning down your bed each evening. The gardener will maintain the pool and grounds immaculately each day. If there is a butler included, then they serve, tend bar and generally facilitate.

Lying to the south of Cuba, Jamaica is the third-largest island in the Caribbean. Rainforest covered hills around Port Antonio contrast with swampy morass at the Royal Palm Reserve and the white-sand beaches of the north coast resorts. Music is an integral part of the country’s culture: on a Jamaica holiday, you will hear reggae playing in almost every bar, restaurant, and shop, and gospel harmonies ring out from white-washed churches. Life in Jamaica’s beach resorts—Negril, Montego Bay, and Ocho Rios—is laid-back and easy-going—except when you visit the markets, where stallholders insist upon good-natured haggling.
