Our car hire rates are tour operator rates and must be booked pre departure through our UK office; car hire company cardholders are not entitled to a further discount on our prices.
Prices are in £ sterling and are per car per week.
If your rental period crosses a date band, for example from June (Low Season) to July (High Season) then the applicable price for the whole rental period will be determined by the car pick-up date and low season price will apply. The same principle is valid when crossing from the high season dates to the low season ones.
Wherever possible the hire company will endeavour to supply the car that has been requested or provide a similar car from the same group. However, they do reserve the right to provide an alternative car as necessary and if it is of a lower group the appropriate refund will apply.

Important information- Abolition of Paper Counterpart Driver's license

Since 8 June 2015, the paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence is no longer valid or  issued by DVLA.  Therefore  car hire companies may need you to consent to your licence records being accessed by a one-time use code or print out from ‘Share Driver’s Licence.Please see DVLA website:

  Roof racks are not permitted on any cars
  20€ is charged to all customers for the Toll transponder. If the service is not used a refund of the 20€ will be made.

Inclusion and exclusions

• All rates include Compulsory Insurance which covers Collision, Theft and accidental fire with an excess from 1050€ to 3000€.
• Excess deposit: Groups A, A1, B, D, B2, D2 - €1050; Groups C, C1, C2, E, F1, E1, E2, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, P1, P2 - €1200; Groups G1, G2, G3, G4, P3, H, I - €1500 and Group P4 - €3000.
• Debit cards are accepted if the customer either pays the deposit of 1050€-3000€ or takes the full cover (Centauro SMART cover) on collection. In Portugal & Italy, if the customer pays using a debit card and chooses the SMART cover, a deposit of 300€ will be charged to the card and then returned at the end of the rental (valid for all car types and locations). Debit cards must be nominative. We do not accept: Prepaid Cards, Visa Electron, American Express, Diners Club or cash.
• The holder of the card must present it together with their voucher when they come to pick up the vehicle. If the cardholder and the main driver are not the same person then the cardholder will be added and charged as an additional driver.
• This excess must be guaranteed by either:
• 1) Taking out additional Centauro SMART Insurance cover. This will eradicate the excess.
• 2) If the customer decides not to take the additional SMART insurance, then Centauro will block the excess amount on the customer’s credit card as a guarantee/deposit to cover any possible damages made to the vehicle. In the event of an accident the customer will be charged the amount for the damages caused, this is decided by Centauro Rent a Car. The maximum amount charged will be the equivalent of the excess.
• Customers buying CENTAURO SMART INSURANCE will be covered from damages to the vehicles including windows/undercarriage/wheels and clutch at a rate of €21 to €29 per day depending on the Car Group, with a minimum charge of €63 to €130 ( and maximum of €252 to €546 depending on the Car Group.
• SMART insurance: Groups A, A1, B, D, B2, D2 - €21 per day, minimum €63 and maximum €252; Groups C, C1, C2, E, F1, E1, E2, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F7, P1, P2 - €22 per day minimum €66 and maximum €264; Groups G1, G2, G3, G4, P3, H, I - €23 per day minimum €69 and maximum €276 and Group P4 - €26 per day minimum €130 and maximum €546.
• Centauro SMART cover included:
• Damage to the locks.
• Punctures or any damage to the tyres or rims.
• Damage to the undercarriage of the car.
• Misuse of the clutch.
• Damage to the windows or windscreen during the hire period.
• Theft as a result of forced entry.
• Damages to the bodywork up to the excess amount.
• Accident Administration Fees.
• All reservations have a maximum of 31 days, in all offices.
• No refund available for early return or unused days.

Extras, VAT charges apply.

• Child seats: Baby (0-13months) / Child (13months-3years) / Booster (3-7years): 7€ per day, maximum 84€.
• GPS: 9€ per day, maximum 90€ and with 100€ deposit.
• Additional driver: 7€ per day, minimum 21€ and maximum 84€
• Cross Border: Vehicles can only be taken outside of Spain to Portugal/Andorra/France and only from our Mainland offices (not Palma or Ibiza)
• Additional obligatory insurance for Portugal/Andorra/France: 9€ per day, minimum 27€, maximum 90€.
• Driver Age: Minimum age: 21 years (with a minimum experience of 1 year).
• Young drivers: Between the ages of 21 to 24 years (inclusive): 5€ per day, minimum 15€, maximum 70€.
• Senior drivers 75 years and over: 5€ per day, minimum 15€, maximum 70€.
• Mileage: There is a limited mileage in Madrid &Barcelona (Airports and Train Station) only:
• 1 to 3 days 400km per day
• 4 to 6 days 300km per day
• 7 to 20 days 150km per day
• 21 days + 100km per day
• Excess mileage will be charged at 0.15€ per Km.

Petrol policy: full empty with partial refund

• Petrol will be charged to the client on collection of the car and will depend on the vehicle size from 50€ to 135€. The vehicle can be returned with the petrol tank as empty as the customer wishes. We will refund any unused full excluding a 25€ logistical and operational charge for all car groups. In case of upgrade the fuel price will be the price of fuel for the vehicle provided.
