A fantastic spot for a special celebration, this luxury 'villa’ in Umbria is actually a cluster of five buildings, which form a whole hamlet, high in the hills with spacious beautifully appointed accommodation, plenty of spots in sun or shade, great facilities and concierge services.
More ‘village’ than ‘villa’, Borgo Bastia Creti is a secluded little hamlet, whose intriguing old dwellings crown a hill, naturally screened in greenery. Restored in charmingly rustic style, the individual cottages and courtyard apartments are linked by brick paved paths and patios, and surrounded by extensive grounds with floral banks and fabulous views. They range in size from a romantic retreat for two, La Limonaia situated at the very edge of the Borgo for enjoying seclusion and stunning views , to Gli Olivi for up to four, a spacious and light property on two floors with lovely views. The privately positioned Cottage with superb views and a patio surrounded by a lawned area, and courtyard I Cipressi with lovely views across the state, each comfortably accommodate six guests. The largest villa, Ginestre, providing unusually airy accommodation on three floors, linked by a curving tower staircase, is spacious enough for eight.
All are furnished with elegant simplicity, with country kitchens and contemporary bathrooms, naïve benches and comfy sofas, open fireplaces and outdoor dining options. And all enjoy the service of friendly resident staff, and share the use of a large swimming pool, a tennis court, and Club Bastia, a cheerfully converted chapel with lounging and dining areas, where local dishes feature for (optional) evening meals. Borgo Bastia Creti is just 15km from amenities in Umbertide.
* On Saturday (extra changes are available on request for an additional charge)
Please note one other apartment has the right to use the pool a couple of times a year. Some other houses nearby have the right to share the tennis court, but always booking through the manager, who gives first choice to Borgo Bastia Creti clients.
If an external caterer/supplier is used by clients for a wedding/celebration, venue fees will apply as follows: €1000 for up to 32 pax, €1500 for 32- 60 pax, €2000 for 61- 100 pax, €2500 for 101 or more pax. Please note that this fee does not include the wedding planner fee.

A monastic calm hangs over the hills that straddle Tuscany and Umbria. But holidays along the Umbria–Tuscany border offer more than just quiet relaxation by the villa pool. Perugia is kept young by the city’s thousands of students, and houses one of central Italy’s great art collections. Lake Trasimeno has clear waters and scenery when you need a hit of azure or a day-long cycle ride. Gubbio and Città di Castello barely break their small-town rhythm to welcome visitors.

Having a barbecue in Italy is one of the best ways to cook your food but you may find that due to long drought periods in high season barbecuing may be restricted in some areas. You will be informed if this happens by your house staff or local representative.
