About the villa
Set near Santa Tecla, a small fishing village on the east coast of Sicily, in a quiet and sunny location with lush gardens and a private pool overlooking the villa, Terrazze sul Mare is the ideal destination for both families and friends looking for a relaxing holiday. This stone-built property with pan-tiled roofs perfectly blends traditional and contemporary styles, with tiled floors, wooden-beamed ceilings, neutral tones, and the comfort of modern facilities. There are plenty of spacious outdoor areas, from the outdoor kitchen and adjacent shaded area for al fresco dining, to the shaded terrace on the ground floor with comfortable sofas and access to interiors, and the private pool in a panoramic position above the villa from which guests can appreciate the sea views and surroundings.
The ground floor is comprised of a well-equipped kitchen, a double bedroom, a shower room, and a double bedroom accessed from outside with a private shower room. Upstairs, two double bedrooms each opening to the panoramic terrace, a living room with dining area also opening to the terrace with an outdoor kitchen, and a shower room, complete the property. Terrazze sul Mare, set in “The Timpa” nature reserve, is part of a villa complex with private access to the rocks and the sea via a pathway below the property. A sandy beach in Riposto is a 15-minute drive away; Mount Etna and the well-known towns of Taormina, Catania and Syracuse are an easy drive from the villa.

Perhaps Sicily’s main tourist destination, Taormina has something for everyone. A fabulous coastline, a land and history shaped by an active volcano and a choice of a low key evening or a livelier night a little further down the coast. The east coast’s history of being conquered has led to a rich cultural heritage with so many sites to see – most famously being the ancient theatres. With this in mind, it could be easy to miss out on a shopping experience – choose from the independent gift shops or the more well-known stores found in Catania. And of course, you can’t avoid the magnificent and varied Italian cuisine.
