About the villa

Maison La Douce is serenely located in open countryside, just five minutes from the hilltop town of Duras. The property boasts a stunning garden and a large heated pool, while its hilltop position allows for incredible panoramic views. The villa is single-storey and architect-designed, with a small yet fully equipped kitchen, welcoming living space and spacious dining area, all opening out to the terrace and garden. There are also three lovely en suite bedrooms. Outside a shaded dining terrace and Weber barbecue are the perfect match for long, leisurely lunches. The heated pool is set among the manicured gardens, with lawn, mature plants, trees and flowers. 

All amenities can be found nearby in Duras, a charming medieval town with a stunning chateau perched high on the outskirts. There is a good selection of restaurants, bars, cafés and shops here, including a chemist, several boulangeries, a butchers and newsagents. There is also a market every Monday, which offers a brilliant selection of local produce, plus an amazing night market once a week during the summer. The villa is also just 35 minutes from the captivating, wine-producing village of Saint-Emilion.
