Holiday snaps usually warrant a certain degree of envy amongst friends, family and Instagram followers, particularly if one is witnessed enjoying the luxury of a villa with private pool, but the ultimate indulgence for any holiday has to be an incredible infinity pool.
For those of you searching for a villa with a show-stopping pool, then fear not as over 200 of our fabulous properties have the added luxury of an infinity pool blurring the lines between the water’s edge and the blue sky.
In no particular order – because picking a top 5 was a hard enough task – our Top 5 infinity pools:
Villa Deniz, Turkey
With breathtaking views across the sea and to the bay of Kalkan, the infinity pool at Villa Deniz is hard to beat!
Accompanied by a cool Jacuzzi, plenty of loungers for relaxing and a lovely al fresco dining area, you may not end up spending much time inside the villa at all. You should however, because inside is equally pleasing with floor to ceiling windows that bring the outside in, 5 lovely en suite bedrooms and an open plan living/ dining and kitchen area.
Macaroni Beach House, Mustique
Macaroni Beach House is a fully staffed ABOVE Collection villa with not one, but two private pools; a plunge pool adjacent to the living space, and a wonderful 12 metre infinity pool, both of which benefit from unbeatable panoramic sea views.
Both also have comfortable seating areas beneath poolside gazebos to relax and take a break from the Caribbean sunshine. If the two pools aren't enough, the beautiful Macaroni Bay beach is just a five minute walk away.
Kalamaki Bay House, Corfu
You won't tire of the view from the infinity pool at Kalamaki Bay House, along the coast and across the sea to mountains of Albania. The 12 metre pool is surrounded by impressive gardens, accompanied by a pool house with kitchenette and outdoor shower for easy al fresco living.
This wonderful property sleeps up to 10 and is ideally located just 1km from the sandy beach at Kalamaki.
Quinta Matilde, Douro Valley
The views from the infinity pool at Quinta Matilde are truly unbeatable, looking out across the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site that is the Douro Valley.
Some thoughtful additions included with a week long stay at Quinta Matilde are a visit to one of the Port producing Quintas with wine tasting and a vineyard terrace picnic and a two hour Rabelo boat ride on the Douro.
