Our view

A cool, spacious and stylish family villa in Umbria, this very popular house sits amid acres of private grounds, offering space and privacy, and magnificent panoramic views of Todi .

In brief

  • Breathtaking views over countryside and Todi
  • Large heatable pool
  • Shared tennis court, table tennis

About the villa

Even from the very traditional stone exterior, this house looks more ‘country villa’ than rambling farmstead, but still the light and spacious interiors come as some surprise. The old world meets the new in a long living room, with its ribbed terracotta ceiling over crisp white walls and large modern sofas, a big stone fireplace at one end and the clean lines of a modern dining suite at the other. There are all mod cons under the raftered kitchen roof, the study is equipped with WiFi and iPod dock, and bedrooms are uncluttered and understated. Outside, a long marble table makes the broad terrace a perfect spot for candlelit dining on balmy evenings, and twin staircases at either end lead down to the infinity pool, where a large pool house, with its own kitchenette, serves a wisteria-draped terrace furnished for al fresco lunches. The four-acre grounds encompass silvered olive groves and slope gently down to a tennis court (shared with sister-villa Casa Andrea). Cook service could be an added indulgence here, and there is an excellent restaurant a very short drive away. The very tranquil setting is just 8km from shops and restaurants in beautiful Todi, its skyline visible from the villa grounds.

"We had a wonderful holiday and we would repeat. It ticked all the boxes for the family. We loved every moment and the villa was like a second home to us by the end."

"Amazing villa with fabulous views and extremely spacious . Excellent and reliable service, as always from CV. We have never had a bad experience and we started travelling with your company in 1988!"

Important Information

Having a barbecue in Italy is one of the best ways to cook your food but you may find that due to long drought periods in high season barbecuing may be restricted in some areas. You will be informed if this happens by your house staff or local representative.

A maximum of 12 guests only are permitted to stay at this property.

Please note the villa can accommodate up to 2 extra people at an additional cost of £175 per person.

Please note that pool heating will usually bring the water temperature up to approximately 10 degrees higher than the night time temperature. As such in early or late season if the nights time temperatures are low, guests may still find the pool feels cold despite heating.

An English speaking CV representative in Italy will be available by phone during your stay. Contact details will be sent with your travel documents.

About the area

Near Orvieto, Todi & Northern Lazio

Average weather

In the south, an Umbria holiday comes dotted with honey-coloured stone farmsteads and sprinkled with olive groves—this region is not called ‘Italy’s green heart’ for nothing. The towns are a must-see for cathedral connoisseurs: there’s nothing restrained about the façade at Orvieto, yet one simple rose window is all that breaks up the classy simplicity at Todi. All of southern Umbria’s villas are within day-trip distance of Rome, too: the station at Orvieto has a fast link with the capital.
