About the villa

From its peaceful location at the base of the Sierra Crestillina Mountain, the views from Finca Calvina are spectacular - reaching across the Genal River valley towards the famous whitewashed villages of Gaucin and Jimena. The entrance to the house is through a pretty central courtyard, with a large marble fountain and a table and chairs set up for an alfresco morning coffee. A large set of double doors lead to the main living area, providing a comfortable and stylish place to relax with sofas looking out through arched windows to the surrounding vistas. An indoor dining table seats 12 guests, while the kitchen is fully-equipped with all the mod cons and a large island for food preparation.Outside, the terrace is home to an al fresco dining area and further space to relax and enjoy the view, with steps leading down to the pool area. The inviting pool is served by an adjacent pool house, with a seating area, space for dining and a kitchen with a BBQ. Elsewhere within the grounds there is plenty to keep families entertained - a games room has a pool table, a poker table and board games, while an outdoor play area has a trampoline, a climbing frame and a playhouse. For older children, there’s also a tree house and a rope swing, plus football goals that can be set up on the lawn; adults might enjoy the fully-equipped gym. There are seven bedrooms split across floors sleeping a total of 12 guests, made up of six doubles and one single. 

While Finca Calvina is in an idyllic location for privacy, it’s also just a 20 minute drive from the beautiful Andalucían coastline.
