About the villa

The environment is a rural country spot encircled by trees, perfectly kept loans and a veggie garden, making it a perfect place where to relax and live open-air in a totally green contest. The large flat garden is particularly ideal for families with children and the several external areas have been planned to best enjoy al fresco meals and equipped with outdoor comforts including a pizza oven and barbecue. The owner, an Italian decorator, restored the original stone-built house with great care, enhancing the country character with color washed walls and decorations throughout, creating in each room its own atmosphere. The interiors have been furnished in a comfortable fresh country style, favoring minimalism in order to bring out the authenticity of Tuscan materials such as cotto floors and beamed ceiling, which have been perfectly preserved. At same time the interiors have been equipped with modern comforts such as Satellite home-surrounding televisions, mosquito nets and a Jacuzzi bath, which complement the picture of a fully enjoyable holiday.

About the area

Lucca, Pisa & Lunigiana

Average weather

Although they are only 17km apart, Pisa and Lucca instantly feel like different worlds. The former is a lively student city on the River Arno, and has one of the world’s most recognizable monuments: the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Understated Lucca is compact and genteel, ideal for a Tuscany villa nearby, with handsome piazzas that frame churches in the Luccan-Romanesque style. Those on a Lunigiana holiday occupy the Apennine foothills in far north-western Tuscany. It is rolling, blissfully empty terrain whose few inhabitants have cultural links with neighbouring Liguria.
