About the villa

A charming family villa in the Peloponnese Mani Peninsula, this is one of a pair which share a large swimming pool and attractive gardens on the outskirts of Kardamyli. Completely self-contained, Villa Ena can be booked on its own for up to four guests, with an additional twin bedroom annexe, and/or with its sister-villa Thio for larger groups.  In a design inspired by the traditional architecture of the Mani, the two detached stone houses sit side by side in a peaceful olive grove, just a hundred metres from the clear waters and pebble shore of Ritsa beach.
With a handful of traditional Greek tavernas by the sea, and more in Kardamyli, a ten minute stroll away, the location is idyllic for easy-tempo idling, though climbers and hikers would enjoy the backdrop Taygetos Mountains, history buffs will find haunting landmarks in the surrounding area. Fully air-conditioned, the villa is beautifully furnished in a soothing colour palette of soft neutrals, enhanced with eclectic rugs and artworks, and enjoying exceptional service more usual in a boutique hotel.

“The villa was beautiful and couldn’t have been more convenient for the beach and town. Kardamyli was a gem of a place – we loved it. We absolutely loved our holiday and the villa arrangement was perfect as we were travelling with grandparents and young teenagers.”

About the area

Average weather

The Peloponnese is attached to the rest of Greece only by the Isthmus of Corinth and, since 2003, the Rio-Antirio Bridge. The land echoes to a host of famous names, from Mycenae through Ancient Sparta and Olympia, to the Greek War of Independence. Rich in history and mythology, and largely unspoilt, it has a mountainous heart, and fringes of headlands, bays, and sandy beaches. Yet it is surprisingly easy to get around on a Peloponnese holiday, by road and even by rail. The regional line often appears among the world’s most scenic railways.
