About the villa
Sapphira’s rural setting is private and peaceful, its garden sprinkled with fruit trees, aromatic herbs and colourful roses; its hillside cloaked in pines and olive groves; and the views from its upper terrace making a magical panorama of small boats, offshore islands and the sparkling sea. The villa itself is furnished with understated elegance, using a colour palette of cool earthy tones, and sourcing natural materials for intriguing art, exposed stonework and innovative shower rooms. On the ground floor, an open-plan kitchen diner is raised a couple of steps above the sitting room, which opens out to a lovely loggia-style terrace, furnished for al fresco dining and lounging, and set beside the swimming pool. One of the three bedrooms also has doors to the poolside, two on the floor above have direct access to the upper terrace, and all are air-conditioned, equipped with the finest linens and individually styled. Conveniently close to amenities, the villa is just 3km from harbour-front cafés in picturesque Sivota, and 7km from Amousso beach.
'A wonderful setting in which to unwind and enjoy the many pleasures which Lefkada has to offer. Aside from relaxing and enjoying every comfort which Villa Sapphire provided us, we spent some quality time exploring the beautiful island of Lefkada.'
'Extremely well appointed. We had a lovely time here - this is our second visit to Lefkada having been to Kefalonia for the last four years.'
'We have thoroughly enjoyed our week here at the beautiful Villa Sapphire. Whoever designed it has done a fabulous job - a brilliant combination of style and comfort of a quality not often found in rental villas. Absolutely loved the house - everything in it has been chosen with great care for its aesthetic appeal and comfort, especially the best. Dimitra has kept the villa beautifully clean and is just lovely, friendly and helpful.'

In the Ionian family of islands, Lefkada is the black sheep. For a start, it is connected to the mainland by a causeway and bridge, and so does not have to rely on ferries. Unlike the rest of the archipelago, it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, and pronounced Turkish influences give it more in common with the mainland. Lefkada holidays take you to something of an under-appreciated—and slightly oddball—gem, with intricate lagoons and marshes, spectacular cliffs, bays, and headlands, and some of the best beaches in Greece. In addition to Lefkada Town and Nidri, there are smaller resorts on the east coast at Perigiali, Nikiana and Lygia; and regular ferries ply between Lefkada and the nearby islands of Meganissi, Ithaca, and Kefalonia.
