About the villa
With exceptional views from the swimming pool terrace and excellent standards of quality and comfort, this fine family villa is within easy reach of the beach and lively Nidri. Perched on the hillside above Perigiali, Galatia has simply gorgeous views. Rising amid the blue of the sea are Skorpios, Sparti and a sprinkling of small isles, and passing boats turn the perfect picture into a moving panorama.
The grounds are accessed via automatic electronic gates and form a spacious expanse, where olive and citrus trees provide scent and shade, and where a tennis court (close to sister-villa Galini) is available to both. Galatia is on the higher level amid its own gardens and terraces furnished with ample furniture, where an infinity pool forms the focal point. The feeling of spaciousness continues within the villa, with an airy open-plan sitting /dining room, a games room with table tennis, and three attractive en suite bedrooms. Perigiali has a bakery, quay and beach, and Nidri is 2km further along the coast with a variety of shops and restaurants.

In the Ionian family of islands, Lefkada is the black sheep. For a start, it is connected to the mainland by a causeway and bridge, and so does not have to rely on ferries. Unlike the rest of the archipelago, it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, and pronounced Turkish influences give it more in common with the mainland. Lefkada holidays take you to something of an under-appreciated—and slightly oddball—gem, with intricate lagoons and marshes, spectacular cliffs, bays, and headlands, and some of the best beaches in Greece. In addition to Lefkada Town and Nidri, there are smaller resorts on the east coast at Perigiali, Nikiana and Lygia; and regular ferries ply between Lefkada and the nearby islands of Meganissi, Ithaca, and Kefalonia.
