About the villa

Alamo offers a rare opportunity to experience authentic rural Crete, enjoy the island’s best beaches, explore the little lanes of local villages, sip sundowners on Chania’s harbour-front, and come home to a masterpiece of modern design, all in a single day. In a hilltop setting with views of the sea and White Mountains, this is one of three villas which make-up the small but perfectly formed Adeste complex. A short stroll from the Venetian village of Kokkino Chorio, it is just 1.5km from the caves of unspoilt Koutalas beach and the famously atmospheric streets of Plaka, in a remarkable landscape criss-crossed with hiking trails. 
The villa is designed to reflect the diverse scenery that surrounds it, blurring the boundaries of indoor/outdoor living with glass walls on to gorgeous terraces, and a décor palette of chalks and clays, blues and greens. Luxury linens and toiletries complement calming bedrooms, each with contemporary en suite facilities and its own furnished balcony. A cool-toned sitting room adjoins a big and bright kitchen diner. And al fresco facilities include lounging and dining areas, and an inviting private pool with views down to the bay.

  • Kalives beach (6km): sandy beach with facilities
  • Kiani Akti or Blue Beach (1km after Kalives): Long quiet beach with facilities
  • Kera (5km): Sandy beach between Kalives and Almirida with no facilities, ideal for those who prefer less crowded sites
  • Ombrogialos (8 km): Small rocky bay with green and blue deep watersideal for snorkelling and windsurfing
