Things to do in Dubrovnik

An enchanting city encircled by 16th century stone walls, Dubrovnik is a UNESCO world heritage site with a difference. Away from your villa you can spend hours wandering down cobbled streets to discover well-preserved palaces, impressive monasteries and the picturesque old port; take a guided tour to uncover hidden gems and see if you can recognise some of the spectacular settings used in Games of Thrones. Stop often along the way to enjoy the cafe culture as the old town is an ideal spot to sit and watch the world go by before returning to your luxury villa to relax or take a dip in your private pool.

If you have the pleasure of enjoying a villa holiday in July or August, the Dubrovnik summer festival is a wonderful event that takes place every year involving ballet, opera and incredible outdoor concerts; our villas in Dubrovnik offer a luxurious base to return to after a day of enjoying the festivities.

Things to do in Split

Split is the second-largest city in Croatia, and it draws holiday-makers from across the globe with its incredible architecture. History buffs will enjoy a visit to Diocletian’s palace, one of the best preserved monuments of Roman architecture in the world, also featured in Game of Thrones as the set of the slave city of Meereen.Today it is part of UNESCO world heritage and includes the old town of Split with numerous cafes, boutiques and restaurants. 

Our Split villas are all conveniently located close to the coast with superb sea views; so we recommend a speedboat trip to Vis island - This islands claim to fame comes from masquerading as the fictional Greek holiday resort of Kalokairi in the film Mamma Mia: Here we go again! Slightly further afield is the islet of Bisevo, famous for its mesmerizing blue cave; take the ferry from your villa in Split and you’ll arrive in under 3 hours. Further Croatian natural beauty comes by way of Krka National Park, just an hours drive from Split. A boat trip is included in the entrance fee and is undoubtedly the best way to see the magnificent waterfalls. Make sure to stop off at Skradinski Buk - a gorgeous collection of 17 waterfalls where you can swim against the breathtaking UNESCO world heritage site backdrop.

Things to do in The Islands

Things to do in Hvar

If your holiday idyll involves upmarket glamour and grandeur, then Hvar is the island for you. Dine on the finest cuisine in excellent restaurants and sip cocktails in trendy bars while yacht-spotting in the charming harbour. Hvar is the sunniest of all the islands, and though it may not be the obvious choice for a beach holiday, there are some hidden gems along the south coast; check out Malo Zaraće or Dubovica Beach, which are both within easy driving distance of our Hvar villas. 

Things to do in Brac

Brac is home to Zlatni Rat or Golden Horn Beach, which is arguably the best beach in Croatia with over 600 metres of pretty pebbles and a pine grove. Our villas in Bol are just 2km away in superb waterfront locations with stunning sea views. If watersports are on your holiday agenda then Bol is also a great spot for windsurfing, whether you’re a seasoned expert or an enthusiastic beginner. This pretty little harbour town is a great base for exploring - take the Ferry to Split in under an hour, while the neighbouring island of Hvar is just 20 minutes away by boat.

Things to do in Korcula

Korcula is the island for slow paced living. Terracotta rooftops are nestled together inside ancient imposing walls, while the landscape of lush pine forests, vineyards and olive groves are the reason the ancient Greeks named it Korkyra Melaina or ‘Black Corfu’. Korcula is the supposed birthplace of Marco Polo and Korcula Town is often referred to as ‘Little Dubrovnik’ because of its Medieval pedestrian old town. From your villa try sea kayaking or stand up paddleboarding to explore the coastline, and don’t leave before sampling the islands famous homemade wines.
