The park is perhaps the most remote and untouched of Sri Lanka’s national parks and is teeming with over 4,000 elephants who are known to bathe and swim in the waters between the parks many uninhabited islands. Elephants are not the only attraction here as the park is also home to leopards, langurs, water buffalo and legions of native and migratory bird species.

recommended properties either Leopard Trails Yala or Cinnamon Wild Yala.
