Surrounded by extensive grounds, this modern villa sits amid long lawns which stretch to encircle a generously sized swimming pool. With tree shade on one side and all-day sun on the other, loungers are sprinkled around the pool terrace to enjoy timelessly tranquil views down the valley and to distant hills, encouraging a sense of away-from-it -all seclusion. Yet Las Batuecas is actually well placed for a variety of interests and activities, with tennis courts and riding stables within 5km; Golf Sotogrande, Estepona beach and the old town of Ronda all about 45km away; and the whitewashed village of Gaucin a brief 7km drive, for shops, restaurants and clear-day views as far as Gibraltar.
