Our view

A chic and spacious luxury villa in Andalucia, this airy house is privately secluded, yet close to a couple of villages, and deliciously designed to blur the boundaries of indoor/outdoor living.

In brief

  • Secluded location
  • Historic town nearby
  • Bright, airy living areas

About the villa

A wonderfully light and airy house, steeped in tranquillity, Casa Deronda combines comfort with style. With underfloor heating and an open fireplace for the cooler months, the single-storey villa has multiple French windows to catch the summer breezes; extensive sunny terraces and shaded chill-out spots; a well-equipped kitchen and an excellent barbecue; and a swimming pool, covered but open-sided to a palm tree courtyard. Throughout the villa, crisp white décor is splashed with colour in fabrics and objets d’art, antique pieces are juxtaposed with modern, and cool-toned floors are softened with natural fibre mats. At the heart of the house is a very spacious living/dining room with WiFi, satellite TV, and doors to terraces on two sides. Three bedrooms in one side of the hosue are flexibly furnished for twin or double use, the master suite enjoying direct access to the poolside; whilst the other side of the living room offers extra privacy for three guests with a single room as well as a self contained en suite double, complete with a mini kitchenette. Accessed along a 1km track, the villa is a five minute drive from Arriate and Seteñil de las Bodegas, and about twenty minutes from Ronda.

About the area

About the area

Average weather

One of oldest towns in Spain, Ronda is the largest of the pueblos blancos, the whitewashed villages that cling to hillsides in Andalucia’s Cádiz and Grazalema mountain ranges. The region was defined by the clash between Muslims and Christians, and that legacy is intensely felt on a Ronda holiday. Explore the blinding-white towns, scenic olive groves, and craggy limestone peaks, all within a relaxed drive from your Ronda-area villa.
