This 16th century convent has been impeccably renovated by the last generation of a Tuscan family and is within easy reach reach of picturesque villages and towns.
Immersed in sixty five hectares of Tuscan countryside, surrounded by olive groves and panoramic views, Tenuta dei Conti is a phenomenal villa that is perfect for any guests looking to celebrate a special occasion or any family looking to indulge in their next retreat.
On the ground floor, guests are welcomed by a grand entrance hall with exposed brick and tasteful furnishings. Further on, there is a fully equipped kitchen, contemporary styled dining room with a selection of wines and a sitting room with direct access to the outdoor area. All rooms contain well kept, historic furniture that have been owned by past generations and designer touches with custom details created by local artisans. Also situated on this ground floor is a gym, wellness space and small indoor pool with views of the manicured gardens.
The first floor consists of an additional living area with large open fireplace and five bedrooms, four doubles with either a bathroom or shower room en suite and a twin bedroom with en suite. These with overhead shower and cloakroom with walk in wardrobe.
This villa also provides a guest annexe consisting of a double bedroom with shower room en suite, billiard room and cloakroom, perfect for anyone looking for a little peace and quiet.
Outside, there are a handful of spots for guests to lounge around, an al fresco area with barbecue and pizza oven and a swimming pool. There are extensive gardens with shaded areas to enjoy whilst taking in the views.
Tenuta dei Conti is just 5km away from all amenities in Sarteano, where restaurants, shops and bars can be discovered. This is an ideal base for visiting some of Tuscany's most majestic treasures. Siena, Montalcino, the garden of La Foce, the abbeys of Sant'Antimo and Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Pienza and Montepulciano are within very easy driving distance. The villages host local festivals and we also recommend walking or riding through the countryside and go for a wine tasting in a Brunello vineyard near Montalcino or Nobile vineyard in Montepulciano. Florence and Rome are easily accessible by fast train from the local station.

The rolling, strangely haunting scenery of the Val d’Orcia is the backdrop to many a Renaissance painting. Its cypress-studded ridges form one of the iconic modern images of ‘classic Tuscany’. The towns are a delight for architecture buffs: the Renaissance palaces of Montepulciano and Pienza; the Romanesque Collegiata in San Quirico d’Orcia, hewn entirely from honey-coloured travertine. Cortona clings to the side of a mountain overlooking the Valdichiana, looking out to Lake Trasimeno and neighbouring Umbria.
