About the villa

Tucked away at the heart of an ancient olive grove, this sizeable villa makes a fine choice for a family gathering. With six bedrooms and several extra beds, the villa can accommodate a mix of up to seventeen adults and youngsters, its main area complemented by a cheerfully furnished first floor suite with its own outdoor entry, kitchen diner, two bedrooms and large terrace. The ground floor has three doubles and a twin room, a breakfast kitchen, split-level sitting/dining room, and a study, and opens out to a shaded terrace with cushioned seating and adjacent dining gazebo. A second al fresco dining area is set in tree shade at the poolside, served by a barbecue and pizza oven; and fruit and vegetables grown in the grounds provide pick-your-own ingredients for lunch. Entertainment for every age group includes table tennis and table football, a generous pool and splash pool, floodlit tennis court (with basketball net), children’s go-karts and play area, and a selection of bikes. And, with two beaches within 15km, The Olive Grove is just 1.5km from amenities in San Vito dei Normanni.

About the area

Average weather

If a building can be a symbol for a whole region, then the trullo stands for Puglia—also known as ‘Apulia’ in English. Think of a Puglia villa holiday and those round, whitewashed limestone buildings with their comical, conical roofs always spring to mind. But there’s more to the region that is the narrow heel of Italy’s boot than trullo country around Alberobello. Discover baroque beauty in Lecce, Emperor Frederick II’s mysterious architecture at the Castel del Monte, and total relaxation on a Puglia villa stay in a rural Masseria.
