Surrounded by a tranquil moat and set within 10 hectares of private gardens, meadows, and woods, this honey coloured, stone estate offers an idyllic escape for families and friends. Lovingly restored to the highest standards, this chateau welcomes guests with timeless elegance, complete privacy, and a sense of peace, all just minutes from the charming village of Villeréal; one of France’s most beautiful villages.

The ground floor is designed for both relaxation and entertaining, featuring two stately entrance halls that lead to a collection of elegant reception rooms. Guests can unwind in the drawing room, cosy snug, or the family TV and games room, while the pool table room and formal dining room provide ample space for social gatherings. A bespoke, high-spec kitchen caters to culinary enthusiasts, and a private study offers a quiet retreat. The ground floor coach house in the courtyard includes a spacious double bedroom with en suite, sitting room and gym, perfect for guests seeking extra privacy.

Ascending the grand staircase, guests will find six beautifully appointed bedrooms on the first floor of the main chateau. Each bedroom is generously sized, with soaring 3.5 metre high ceilings and its own luxurious bathroom, ensuring comfort and privacy for up to fourteen guests. The thoughtful restoration preserves the chateau’s historic charm while providing all the modern comforts.

Outside, guests can enjoy the graceful courtyard, encircled by the chateau’s moat, which is ideal for al fresco dining under the shade of mature trees or enjoying a friendly game of pétanque. The heated swimming pool is a highlight, complete with a covered seating area and convenient poolside facilities. The estate’s vast grounds invite leisurely strolls through private gardens, meadows, and woods, offering guests both seclusion and opportunities for outdoor adventure.

This villa is in a privileged location, on the border of Dordogne and Lot & Garonne, providing a gateway to a region rich in history, culture, and natural beauty. The nearby village of Villeréal, just five minutes away, boasts delightful restaurants, cafés, boulangeries, patisseries, artisanal shops, and one of the area’s best weekly markets. About the area

Dordogne

Average weather

A honey-coloured pocket of tiny towns and pretty green fields, the Dordogne brings the English Cotswolds to southwest France. It’s a region that draws gastronomes, history buffs and nature lovers in their thousands – and constantly catches hearts with its scenery, prehistory and slow French pace of life. Marvel at the many Michelin stars, admire the vine-striped hills, and take the time to wander the pretty cream-coloured river towns. Here, villas are just a gateway. France’s Périgord is authentic and historic – medieval châteaux are strung like pearls along the Dordogne and Dronne rivers, and there’s a heritage which recalls periods of rivalry and intense years of war.
