Summer in the South of France

Villas in the South of France have been a popular choice for a summer holiday for as long as we can remember. And it’s been announced that the infamous Cannes Film Festival will now be taking place from 6 to 17 July. Sable Blanc

Biarritz beauty Sable Blanc is in a privileged location on the Basque coast, overlooking the breathtaking sandy beach of Bidart. This unique villa for 12 is bright and spacious with dramatic views from every window; we love the freestanding bath looking out to sea! 

The view just keeps getting better as you step outside to the terrace, where an infinity pool sits beside ultra comfortable loungers, an alfresco dining area and a barbecue. The beach below the villa is just 400m away, while nearby shops and restaurants are even closer.

La Cuve

In the heart of the Langeudoc, nestled amidst gorgeous lavender gardens sits La Cuve, a charming countryside property for up to 16 guests. This picture postcard paradise delights visitors inside and out.

 While the outside of the villa is traditional and characterful, inside is surprisingly modern and minimalist. There’s a huge contemporary kitchen with canary yellow cabinets, sleek granite worktops and a separate indoor dining area. The living room is large and beautifully decorated with a bar to enjoy an aperitif while relaxing indoors, plus a private cinema room provides further indoor entertainment. 

The bedrooms are all lovely and spacious although guests may fight over the romantic master suite with its gorgeous freestanding bath tub.

Outside is picturesque, perfectly capturing the South of France romance in its beautiful gardens filled with lavender. There is a pretty shaded terrace for dining al fresco, a heated pool and a private tennis court.

Villa Nicole

A beautiful country house, Villa Nicole is charming, comfortable and perfectly private. Inside the main house is ideally designed for open-plan living; a large kitchen area with an island breakfast bar looks out to the gardens and is fully-equipped for preparing big family meals, to be enjoyed out on the terrace. A plush corner sofa and armchairs are ideal for relaxing indoors, curling up with a good book or listening to musical guests make use of the villa’s grand piano. 

There are three lovely bedrooms including a huge master suite, while the annexe houses two compact yet comfortable bedrooms, alongside a separate living and dining area - plus it even has its own plunge pool!

The garden is where Villa Nicole comes into its own, where tall trees frame lush lawns and a large open terrace furnished for dining and relaxing, overlooking the beautiful heated pool.

Villa Fabia

You might say we saved the best for last, Villa Fabia is one for guests who appreciate the finer things in life and it’s one of our favourite villas in the south of France near the beach; a pretty pebble beach in St Tropez is just a 5 minute walk away, and it’s a five minute drive from Pampelonne’s powder soft sands. 

From freshly cut flowers in every room upon arrival and lanterns lit outside each evening, to inclusive chef and concierge service, a holiday here is a luxurious affair. The opulent interiors are decorated in soft pastel shades with lots of different spots in which to relax and a marvellous ocean blue kitchen with white marble countertops and a matching table with stylish aztec chairs.

A magnificent terrace runs the length of the house with a shaded dining table and comfortable rattan seating area both overlooking the inviting pool.
