My name is Ariane, and I warmly welcome you to Kerkyra, our green island in the Ionian Sea. I have recently joined the team at CV Villas and I'm excited to support you make the most of your holidays with us.

Describe the perfect day in your destination?

My perfect day in Corfu starts with a swim in the sea followed by some lunch in one of the tavernas in the Northwestern part of the Island where I reside. Sometimes I take a trip to Corfu Town in the late afternoon to meet friends for a coffee. As a nature loving person, I enjoy being outdoors, whether this be relaxing by the beach, paddleboarding, horse-riding, or exploring new walking paths.

What are your top travel tips for your destination?

I highly recommend hiring a car for 2 or 3 days whilst holidaying on Corfu. You’ll have more flexibility for getting around the Island. The Northeastern and Western parts of the island have much to offer from snorkelling hot spots in Avlaki or Paleokastritia, to renting a boat in Agni, or a Jeep Safari to visit Mount Pantokrator.  If you are an adventurous person you may want to try Paragliding in Pelekas or horse-riding in St. Spiridon.  Fort the best sunset, I personally recommend Porto Timoni in Afionas.

What local cuisine would you recommend to people staying in your destination?

You’ll find lots of fantastic fish tavernas stretching along the North Coast from Kerasia to Kassiopi. My favourite dishes are too many!  However, you must try a Corfiot dish whilst on Corfu such as Sofrito and Pastisada. For the best Ice Cream you must take a trip to Papagiorgios in Corfu town.

What experiences would you recommend to our customers in your destination?

Experiences I’d recommend whilst on Corfu include definitely renting a boat to explore if you can, eating at hidden tavernas, and unwinding by the beach with a local wine and just relaxing.
