Set amidst perfectly manicured gardens of lush lawns and cascading olive groves, Villa Shamsum is elegantly poised. Accommodation at this supremely comfortable house is all on one level split between the main building and an additional canvas lodge. The main house is spacious and decorated in a contemporary style, painted in a cool pastel colour palette with beautiful portrait photography adorning the walls. A bright and airy living space offers comfortable seating and a modern fireplace, alongside an indoor dining area and a fabulous kitchen where a dedicated team of staff prepare three meals per day for all guests. Sliding glass doors lead to a charming terrace that is furnished for al fresco dining and relaxing. In the centre of the lawn a 15m long pool takes pride of place, paired with a poolside pergola offering soft seating in the shade and a hammock for relaxing outdoors.  

There are four spacious and beautifully decorated bedrooms within the main house, including the master suite with a freestanding bath tub; the canvas lodge offers further accommodation for four guests including a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom, which is perfect for children. The canvas lodge, set in the southeast corner of the grounds is a unique offering that allows guests to be immersed in nature. Elsewhere within the grounds there is a clay boules court, table tennis and a cinema room, meanwhile the excellent restaurants and shopping of Marrakech are just 15 minutes away.

Important Information

Please note that the villa is fully staffed and is not available for self-catering. The dedicated villa staff prepare and serve all meals, allowing guests to relax and enjoy a truly restful and memorable holiday experience.

Breakfast & Dining

A Moroccan/continental breakfast is included in the price, together with all ingredients.

Each morning, the staff serve black tea or traditional Moroccan mint tea, along with espresso coffee, or a regular long coffee if preferred. Breakfast also includes freshly squeezed orange juice, Moroccan or French-style crêpes, traditional batbout (Moroccan bread), a selection of homemade cakes (such as lemon and poppy seed, apple and chestnut, or candied fruit cake), butter, homemade marmalade made from the citrus trees in the garden, honey, and eggs cooked to your preference.

Should you have any particular requests, the cook will be happy to do their best to accommodate them.

Lunch & Dinner

Lunch and dinner can be arranged at an additional cost from a selection of fixed-price menus:

  • Lunch: €25 per adult. 
  • Dinner: €30 per adult

Children aged 2 to 12 years receive a reduced rate and pay half price, while children under 2 dine free of charge.

Your Destination Expert will contact you prior to arrival to discuss your dining requirements and any meal arrangements for the start of your stay. Thereafter, the villa cook will  share a selection of sample menus and plan lunches and dinners with you in advance. Menus typically include a starter, main course and dessert. As the villa is a private home rather than a restaurant, guests will be asked to select the same option for each course. Special meals for young children can, of course, be prepared on request.

Payment for meals can be made locally by cash or bank transfer.

Dietary Requirements

Should any guests be vegetarian, have allergies, or dietary requirements, please advise your Destination Expert. The cook will accommodate these wherever possible.

Beverages

We recommend purchasing spirits from duty free before travelling. Mint tea, coffee, water and a selection of all other beverages are available at the villa and are offered at reasonable prices.

Other food items 

Snacks for pre-dinner drinks / cocktails etc can be purchased locally. Please discuss with our Destination Expert prior to arrival. 

OWNER MANAGED

The villa manager of the property you are staying in will meet you on arrival and visit you during your stay if you wish, and both the villa manager and our CV Villas Destination Expert will be available by phone. Contact details will be sent with your travel documents.
