About the villa

Villa Clarissa sits within impressive grounds, just 5km from lovely Lucca. Traditional Italian interiors feature pastel coloured walls with grand chandeliers and ornate wooden furniture throughout the house. A large sitting room is decorate in pale yellow and blue with a baroque ceiling and wallpaper, while the dining room centrepiece is a long wooden table seating up to 16 for indoor suppers. An additional sitting room provides space to relax in front of the television, while a billiard room offers entertainment and further sitting in the form of luxurious velvet settees. The country style kitchen is well-equipped for cooking up a feast, which completes the ground floor.

Accommodation is split across two further floors upstairs. There are 10 bedrooms altogether, eight of which are en suite and a mixture of double and twin rooms. Each bedroom is decorated in a different pastel shade, with ornate wooden beds and matching wardrobes. Outside, there are two separate areas for guests to enjoy. The first is a large lawned garden encircle by tall trees, with a gazebo covering a long dining table for al fresco meals. The large private pool is in another picturesque part of the grounds, with comfortable sunbeds, umbrellas and a shaded seating area.  Closest amenities can be found just 5km away in Lucca, will Pisa is further afield yet within easy driving distance.

Important Information

For 12 people the second floor twin bedrooms and one double bedroom with shower on suite will be closed and not available. For Larger groups Villa Rossetta is also on the same estate and sleeps up to 12 guests. 

Arrival at this villa is between 4 and 8 pm.
After 8 pm a fee of Euro 50 is payable and after 10 pm the fee is Euro 100.
Any late arrival after 8pm is on request and needs to be agreed in advance.
Please kindly note that after midnight – if an arrival is possible - the extra cost is Euro 100 per hour.

Average weather

Although they are only 17km apart, Pisa and Lucca instantly feel like different worlds. The former is a lively student city on the River Arno, and has one of the world’s most recognizable monuments: the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Understated Lucca is compact and genteel, ideal for a Tuscany villa nearby, with handsome piazzas that frame churches in the Luccan-Romanesque style. Those on a Lunigiana holiday occupy the Apennine foothills in far north-western Tuscany. It is rolling, blissfully empty terrain whose few inhabitants have cultural links with neighbouring Liguria.
