Sleek, chic and indulgently modern, this luxury villa has a premium waterfront setting near the village of Mochlos.
Waterfront with views that simply drink in the ocean, this luxury villa is part of a two-property complex near Mochlos. This picturesque fishing village, which tempts with inviting tavernas and waterfront cafés, is just 1km from the villa and has a couple of small, sandy beaches if you fancy a day off from your private pool. The villa itself is a statement of modern architecture – stone and wood combine with clean whitewashed walls, and neutral tones inside add to the discreet island feel. There’s an open plan layout on the ground floor, made up of a living area with stylish corner sofas, a large dining table and fully-equipped modern kitchen. The bedrooms are split between the first and lower ground floors of the villa – each one very polished and sleek, with a large king size bed and en suite shower room. All rooms include bathroom amenities, plus bathrobes and slippers for added indulgence, but those on the first floor also have the luxury of an individual sea view terrace. Outside, the villa is surrounded by lovely landscaped Cretan gardens – there are comfortable lounging and dining spots dotted around the oceanfront terrace, and a private swimming pool with an outdoor shower and sun loungers. A sleek outdoor kitchen, complete with a barbecue, sink and fridge, gives you the option of cooking outdoors.
For larger groups, this property can be booked alongside sister villa, Luna House.

Even by the standards of an island that boasts plenty of it, there are those who consider Eastern Crete to be especially charming. It offers much of what the western area provides but at a slightly more sedate and less developed pace. Villages steeped in tradition, mountain gorges, secluded coves and architectural gems from the pages of history as well as some seriously fine beaches and great walking are among the numerous attractions in a region less rugged and populous than elsewhere – something that appeals to and enchants those looking for a slightly quieter Cretan sojourn.
