About the villa
A fabulous place for a family holiday, this very contemporary villa has been furnished with flair and panache by its Greek owner, from naïve artworks in its uncluttered bedrooms, to an excellent al fresco ‘living room’ in the shade of a huge poolside pergola furnished with a large dining table and ample stylish comfortable chairs and sofas. On the ground floor a cheerful breakfast kitchen is open plan to a convivial social space, stylishly furnished in chalk and clay tones, with a dining room, ample seating in two sitting areas, and arty lighting adding quirky character. This room and a spacious adjacent bedroom each open out to the tiled terrace surrounding a sizeable swimming pool, while three first floor bedrooms have doors to a balcony or to the furnished, shaded upper terrace with glorious sea views.
All bedrooms are supremely comfortable with large beds and fine linens. Air-conditioned throughout, the well-equipped villa has satellite TV’s in all the guest rooms, a large screen version in the sitting room, and a games room with table tennis and a treadmill. Gorgeous gardens are planted with roses, herbs and citrus trees, and Mira‘s hillside setting is just 700 from a taverna, a prestigious winery within very easy reach and just 3km from shops and waterfront tavernas around the yacht-haven harbour of Sivota.
“We have enjoyed two wonderful weeks at this beautiful villa. We have travelled around the island and have been entranced by its rustic loveliness. On this island you are spoilt for choice with many good family owned restaurants all doing something slightly different. Thank you so much to Kostas the villa owner you made staying here easy. To those who follow us, kick back, relax and enjoy!!"
“We’ve had a wonderful holiday! The villa is absolutely fabulous and one of the best we’ve ever stayed in. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed trips to the beaches on the west coast, Lefkada town and on a hired boat for the day. We’ve also very much enjoyed lazing by the pool – perfect!”

In the Ionian family of islands, Lefkada is the black sheep. For a start, it is connected to the mainland by a causeway and bridge, and so does not have to rely on ferries. Unlike the rest of the archipelago, it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, and pronounced Turkish influences give it more in common with the mainland. Lefkada holidays take you to something of an under-appreciated—and slightly oddball—gem, with intricate lagoons and marshes, spectacular cliffs, bays, and headlands, and some of the best beaches in Greece. In addition to Lefkada Town and Nidri, there are smaller resorts on the east coast at Perigiali, Nikiana and Lygia; and regular ferries ply between Lefkada and the nearby islands of Meganissi, Ithaca, and Kefalonia.
