About the villa

Peacefully cushioned in countryside and approached along a tree-lined avenue, Villa Renaissance nestles in walled grounds, well designed for outdoor living, and encompassing a little pebble-banked pond, a boules pitch, badminton court and children’s play area, and an inviting pool with Jacuzzi, timber sundecks and a curtained poolside gazebo. A garden room within the grounds has a dining room and kitchenette; and the villa’s central courtyard is a very private place, planted with bright bougainvillea and tubs of flowering shrubs, and furnished with a shaded dining area and a rustic table, under tall palms, beside a built-in barbecue.
Part of a heritage protected country estate, the villa itself is a late 16th century house, where gothic and renaissance features frame traditionally furnished rooms, complemented by mod-cons from full air conditioning to WiFi and satellite TV. A professionally equipped dining kitchen opens into the effortlessly elegant sitting room; and the villa has five double bedrooms, styled with charming simplicity. Within 1km of a long beach, restaurant and café, bank and bakery, the house is 5km from the historic heart of Dubrovnik.

About the area

Dubrovnik

Average weather

Within almost 2,000 metres of stone wall built to protect its treasures sits one of the world’s most stunning cities – a place where an abundance of history, museums bursting with art, baroque architecture and marble streets full of interest prevail. There are some places that charm, while others leave a lasting impression. A Dubrovnik holiday is firmly the latter, making it no surprise the returning visitor is left as enchanted as the first-timer while, all around, a distinctive Mediterranean lifestyle and the sparkling Adriatic provide an ever-present backdrop.
