WINE AND LOCAL PRODUCE TASTING

Immerse yourself into local life with an exciting wine and local product testing experience. During the experience, you’ll learn about the history of the vineyard and of Corfu, whilst enjoying a selection of traditional foods and Corfiot wines. These Greek wines have been carefully hand-selected for their quality, complexity and flair. Enjoy a number of prize-winning crisp whites, pale, dry rosés and full-bodied reds under the sun, alongside a selection of snacks that perfectly compliment the wines’ flavours. You may also like to learn interesting information about each of the wines, and within a few sips will discover why Greek wine has gained such international recognition and attention. 

LOCATION: AMBELONAS VINEYARD

MEETING TIME: WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY AT 18:30

DURATION: 1.5 HOURS

INCLUSIONS:

  • A presentation including history of the vineyard, equipment and processes for traditional wine making
  • Wine tasting, including traditional varieties of red 'Skopelitiko' and white 'Kakotrigis'

5 COURSE COOKING CLASSES

This hands-on cooking class offers the opportunity to create a five-course meal using fresh, local ingredients. You’ll learn all about the history of the vineyard and processes for traditional olive and wine making, gaining a real insight into the Corfiot culinary culture. There will also be a chance to taste and discuss dishes at different stages during the 4 - 5.5 hour session. All this is accompanied by authentic local wines, warm hospitality, and magnificent views overlooking the vineyard and central Corfu.

LOCATION: AMBELONAS VINEYARD

MEETING TIME: TUESDAYS 10:00 - 14:30

DURATION: 4 - 5.5 HOURS

INCLUSIONS:

  • A presentation including history of the vineyard and processes for wine making
  • Wine tasting, including traditional varieties of red 'Skopelitiko' and white 'Kakotrigis'
  • Hands-on cooking with fresh, local ingredients and traditional recipes
  • Time to taste and discuss dishes at different stages of cooking
  • Enjoy a full 5-course meal accompanied by local wines
  • A copy of Ambelonas' cookbook
  • Acordo product tasting with tsipouro and/or Ambelonas wine, including:
    • Jerusalem artichoke salad
    • Corfiot salami
    • Fresh fig chutney
    • Goat cheese
    • Corfiot noumboulo
    • Corfiot sweet fruit mustard
    • Corfiot olives
    • Wholewheat and wholegrain bread

THE MENU:

The menu is planned according to availability of ingredients and participant preferences, and may include:

  • Starter: Tzatziki, melitzanosalata (smoked eggplant) or taramosalata (cod-cured roe)
  • Salad: Ambelonas green salad, neratzosalata (sweet orange) or Ambelonas summer salad
  • First course: Traditional seasonal pie or risotto with topinambour
  • Main course: Pork 'dolce garbo', beef 'sofrito', chicken fillet with couscous, or veal 'fricado'
  • Sweet: Ambelonas spice cake or Corfiot pudding served with apricot jam



CULTURAL WALKING TOURS

The Corfu Food and Cultural Tour is located in Corfu Town, the perfect opportunity to unravel Corfu's fascinating history and taste its unique cuisine in some of the top landmarks and eating spots on the island. Visiting points include the Durrells’ Garden, the Old Fortress and the Palace of St Michael and St George. Throughout this leisurely walk through town, you'll be able to meet local traders and food artisans, while getting a taste of delicious treats such as Corfiot meze and ouzo, noumboulo and cheese and, of course, olive oil.

MEETING TIME: MORNING TOUR 10:00, EVENING TOUR 18:00

OLIVE OIL TASTING TOURS

The olive tree, its olives and oil have been significant in Corfiot cuisine and culture for centuries. This wonderful olive oil tour is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the Corfiot olive grove, visit beautiful villages and learn about olive oil soap making, followed by an expert olive oil and meze tasting. On the way, you’ll see many varieties of flora and fauna before reaching an olive press dating back to the early 1900s. At the tasting, you will enjoy a selection of treats including numbalo and salado (pork), homemade wine, local cheeses, fresh vegetables, olive oils and fresh bread.

LOCATION: ACHARAVI, NORTH CORFU

MEETING TIME: EVERY MORNING AT 09:30, EVERY EVENING AT 16:30

SAIL AROUND THE IONIAN SEA

Set sail on the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey sailboat for a private adventure in Corfu's clear waters. Indulge in brunch, refreshments, and serene swimming spots. Spend the entire day aboard, feeling the sea breeze and gentle waves, or disembark to explore and grab a meal along the way.
