About the villa

With the welcoming atmosphere of a well-loved home, this beautiful family villa exudes an air of easy elegance. From its comfortable sofas and well stocked bookshelves, to its shady loggia for al fresco dining and steamer chairs on the open terrace, Yialiskari House is a gracious place which encourages an unhurried pace. Air-conditioned throughout and offering cook service for totally effortless comfort, the villa’s kitchen/diner overlooks the stone-floored sitting room, where double doors lead to a covered veranda.Each of the four bedrooms has en suite bath or shower room and access to a balcony or terrace. A few steps below the house and gated for safety, a ten metre infinity pool forms the focal point of the grounds. From its peaceful hillside setting, exquisite views draw the gaze over flower-filled gardens to silvered olive groves and the sleepy sheltered bay. The pebble shore of Yialiskari Beach is a ten minute walk away, Agni and Kalami are each about a fifteen minute walk away.

Important Information

The property is currently undergoing some renovation work and may therefore look a little different than the current photos. 

Please note the use of P20 sun cream is banned in Yialiskari House as this particular brand can cause very bad staining on sheets, towels, sun beds and the villa is newly furnished. The owners of the villa therefore ask that guests do not bring P20 sun cream with them on holiday and do not use it inside the villa or in any of the outside areas.

About the area

Yialiskari, Kalami & Kouloura

Average weather

Kalami, Kouloura, and Yialiskari are among the prettiest villages on Corfu’s north-east coast. Their collective character attracted writer Lawrence Durrell to the area before World War II. In Kalami you can eat and sleep in the White House, where Durrell and his wife settled, and view memorabilia and cuttings about the man. Kouloura, in the next bay, has a nautical feel, the oldest harbour on that coast, dating from Byzantine times, and is protected by a stone wall. Yialiskari holidays are usually spent on the village’s sandy beach; it is sheltered by impressive rocks that plunge straight into the sea.

BOAT HIRE

There is no better way to explore the coastline and discover deserted bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Small boats and speedboats can be pre-booked with our UK office prior to departure and we recommend early reservations, especially in July and August, as availability is limited. Smaller size boats can still be hired without a licence which remains unchanged.
