About the villa

Broad lawns stretch between banks of mature shrubs, pierced by tall cypress trees. A tributary of the River Giscle runs alongside the gardens. Woodland encircles the sunny vineyard slopes. And the old house is all but hidden in its timelessly tranquil surrounds. While gentle restoration has preserved the character of the building, modern amenities have been added to complete its transformation from working farm to holiday villa. A sizeable swimming pool is now the focus of lawns beside the house, a boules pitch and private tennis court take their places in the grounds, and an outdoor kitchen and barbecue serve a covered al fresco terrace. With three bedrooms in the main house and one located just across the terrace and a further two in the annexe, the villa’s interiors are elegantly furnished with country simplicity and old world charm with pieces from OKA and Chelsea Textiles, with a fireplace and bright kilim in the sitting room, beamed ceiling and Provencal tiled floor in the dining room, and French doors in each leading out to the terrace. The villa is close to the medieval town of Grimaud, 3km from shops, restaurants and markets in Cogolin, and within 12km of beaches and nightlife in up-tempo St. Tropez.

For guests seeking a big group venue,  Villa Vignoble is located just next door and can also be rented to accommodate 13 more.

Sandwiched between an azure bay and the rocky outcrops of the Var, the St.-Tropez peninsula offers a patchwork of scenery and experiences. To the west, sun-kissed St. Tropez flaunts its pastel-shaded streets and dinky old port where the glitterati anchor luxury yachts. To the east Fréjus is famed for its Roman ruins and Episcopal baptistery; and the beaches of St. Raphael are frequented by water-sports lovers. Add to this the volcanic, red Massif de l’Estérel, whose peaks are perfect for hiking expeditions, and in the Bay of St. Tropez you have yourself one varied holiday destination.
