Our view

Just to the west of Montego Bay, in glorious seafront gardens, this is an enchanting multi-pavilion, luxury villa in Jamaica, where gracious interiors flow seamlessly into al fresco living spaces.

In brief

  • Full service
  • Tennis court

About the villa

A series of high-roofed pavilions form this unique villa, each one placed to see the sea and opening out to a spacious veranda. Cooled by ocean breezes and elegantly furnished for lounging and dining, this fabulous indoor/outdoor space hems the eight metre swimming pool, its sunny terrace gazing out between tall palms to blue of the bay. And from here it is just a few steps on to the sandy beach which, in turn, is met by gentle shallows and a little snorkelling reef.

Within this airy family villa, white wicker furniture is reflected in polished marble floors, cool toned colours complete the calming ambience, and two of the four individual bedroom pavilions are romantically furnished with four-poster beds. Inclusive cook and butler service ensure a completely stress-free break, while tennis and sea kayaking add sport to leisurely idling. Twenty minutes from Montego Bay, Serenity is perfect for families or groups of friends and sits just next door to ‘TRANQUILITY ON THE BEACH’, also featured by CV Villas. The two could be booked together for large groups or special gatherings.

Important Information

50% Deposit required for any bookings travelling between (or including) the 20th December and the 10th January, 30% at any other times. Please note that any stays that include both the 25th and the 31st December will be subject to a Christmas supplement NOT included in the pricing calendar, special booking conditions apply.

Gratuities

For all villas in Jamaica there are fixed staff gratuities that are payable on top of the villa rental price: 10% of the villa rental in High Season, 15% in Low Season. These can be paid locally in cash (US dollars or Jamaican dollars) but we strongly recommend pre-paying them with your holiday balance so that this is all taken care of beforehand as it is often difficult to withdraw large amounts of cash locally

Groceries

A typical grocery budget is US$55-$65 per adult per day and US$25 per day for preteens [Note: A few villas have higher food and beverage budgets.]. This may vary up or down depending on market prices and menus. If you request shrimp, lobster, imported beef or large quantities of other food items, this estimate will increase. Your cook will pre-purchase your first few meals, pantry staples and a small starter bar (a few bottles of Red Stripe, moderately-priced wine and rum). Additional alcohol requests will increase your budget.
If you wish to go to the various markets with your cook, you are welcome. Otherwise, simply review with them your tastes and distastes and they'll handle it all while you stay at the villa and relax. At week's end, they will present receipts and reconcile your account. Please be prepared to pay for your groceries with cash or credit cards and to tip your villa staff and driver with cash. We cannot accept prepayment for groceries or staff gratuities at Tryall Club villas. They will welcome both US and Jamaican dollars.
Estimating grocery costs is not a science. Much depends on the menus you want and current market prices. Obviously, this is a variable so anticipate that your cook may refund money at week's end... or ask you for more money mid-week. In either case, your cook or chef will reconcile your food and beverage bill at week's end.
On your first day at the villa, your cook will meet with you regarding menus for the week, then finish the week's shopping. At that time, you will give them cash for your food and drink plus their $60 taxi fare. Alternatively, if one or more of you wish to go to the supermarket with your cook, you may use your credit card. (Stores will not accept your card from your cook if you are not present with them.) Roadside vendors of fresh fruits and produce will require cash.

Staff

The day starts while guests are still asleep. The cook quietly places pots of steaming Jamaican coffee on the veranda. Full breakfast is served when all guests are ready. A typical breakfast may include fresh-squeezed orange juice and fresh fruits, banana fritters or plantain, eggs, bacon, pancakes or cereal ~ or Jamaican ackee and salt fish. For lunches and dinners, your cook will prepare their own mix of Jamaican specialities ~ including delicious homemade soups and desserts, lobster, curried goat, jerk pork or chicken, pasta, lamb, beef, fresh fish ~ or serve traditional American fare as you request. Warning: Jamaican cooks are excellent and portions are generous! Your cook will handle grocery shopping and meal preparation. Your chambermaid and laundress will care for every detail of your bedroom and bath ~ providing fresh linens and flowers, returning your neatly-folded laundry, and turning down your bed each evening. The gardener will maintain the pool and grounds immaculately each day. If there is a butler included, then they serve, tend bar and generally facilitate.
