About the villa
Colour-washed in Caribbean sunshine tones, with the timeless style of a Mediterranean villa, this striking house has been expertly designed to maximise the views from its elevated setting. Ideally suited to catch the Caribbean sunrise to start the day and Grenada's beautiful sunsets for the perfect start and end of each day. Elegantly furnished in rich warm colours, and adorned with original paintings by local artists, the cheerful sitting room and open-plan kitchen/dining room share the first floor with two double bedrooms, each with a romantic four poster bed. The sitting room opens on to a furnished balcony and each of the rooms has its own perspective on the gorgeous views of sea and shore. There is a third double room on the ground floor, and a twin bedded studio with its own kitchenette. A delightful free-form pool is sunk into a sunny terrace surrounded by tropical plants, and there is a poolside gazebo and a separate barbecue area with al fresco seating. The most southerly of the Windward archipelago, and lying north of Venezuela, Grenada is a jewel-shaped, volcanic island. The interior is made up of rainforest-covered hills that rise to 840 metres at Mount Saint Catherine’s peak. During the colonial era, it changed hands between the French and the British numerous times, remaining British from 1877. Grenada gained independence in 1974, but many of the place names you will see on a Grenada holiday are still French. Another features of the island is its numerous waterfalls, including Concord Falls—a trio of cascades—and Annandale Falls, which has a plunge pool at its base.
