About the villa

For a Tuscan retreat, look no further than Casa Marini, an impressive property with stylish interiors located just 5km away from the picturesque town of Pienza. With accommodation across two levels, the ground floor is open plan with a pretty living room, a country style kitchen, a billiard room and a gym. Two en suite double bedrooms complete the ground floor, one of which has an outdoor Jacuzzi tub.

This villa originally was two farm houses now joined together but separate on the first floor with two bedrooms on one side and one on the other.

The mezzanine level has a double bed, which is great for teenagers, while the first floor is home to a further three en suite double bedrooms. Meanwhile, outside there is a pretty terrace for al fresco dining with fabulous accompanying views and further down the garden there is an impressive 18m lawn amid the lovely lawns. An exciting range of additional extras can be arranged at Casa Marini upon request, from cheese and wine tasting, to a pizza party!

Average weather

The rolling, strangely haunting scenery of the Val d’Orcia is the backdrop to many a Renaissance painting. Its cypress-studded ridges form one of the iconic modern images of ‘classic Tuscany’. The towns are a delight for architecture buffs: the Renaissance palaces of Montepulciano and Pienza; the Romanesque Collegiata in San Quirico d’Orcia, hewn entirely from honey-coloured travertine. Cortona clings to the side of a mountain overlooking the Valdichiana, looking out to Lake Trasimeno and neighbouring Umbria.
