About the villa
A massive grinding stone, or ‘lithari’, was unearthed when digging the foundations of this pretty villa, giving the house its name and now forming a focal point in the gorgeous gardens which surround it. In a classic Corfiot landscape of olive, fig and pomegranate trees, this great family home is raised above its free-form pool and gazes out to serene views of the countryside, coast and bay from a covered veranda which runs the length of the building. With cool tiled floors and high raftered ceilings, a spacious sitting /dining room has doors to this al fresco living space, and to a delightful dining pergola. Two ground floor bedrooms also open on to the veranda, while the master double enjoys an extra level of privacy on the first floor, with its own shaded balcony. A broad stairway and a gently sloping path each link the veranda with the ten metre pool, where lawns, loungers and a daybed are screened with beautiful flowering shrubs. And this lovely little pocket of peace is just 1km from Kassiopi for restaurants, shops, nigthlife and boat hire and 3km Avlaki beach.

Average weather
Capital of Corfu’s north-east, Kassiopi is a thriving harbour and resort. Within a ring of souvenir and beach shops, it has a heart of gold: a cleanly-paved harbour, well-tended gardens, benches for the weary, and smart shops, restaurants, and cafés. Pleasure craft and cruise boats jostle for mooring space with small trawlers. Canons point out to sea, their threat long faded, against a backdrop of stylish Kassiopi villas and apartments rising in terraces from the harbour. A holiday in the hamlet of Kelia lies on the hillside above, within walking distance of the town.

boat Hire
There is no better way to explore the coastline and discover deserted bays and coves with their translucent water to add to the overall enjoyment of your holiday. Small boats and speedboats can be pre-booked with our UK office prior to departure and we recommend early reservations, especially in July and August, as availability is limited. Smaller size boats can still be hired without a licence which remains unchanged.
